It's a Done Deal!

The wedding was amazing! Everything from the rehearsal dinner to the honeymoon was just fantastic. The ceremony was so sweet, and the reception was beautiful and such a blast! Thank you to everyone that came to share this special day with us!

We haven't gotten the disc yet, but until we do here is a preview of the wedding album!

So, if we live in Oklahoma, how come the invitations came from Bridal Veil, Oregon?

Well, we found out you could have your wedding invitations sent through the post office in Bridal Veil, Oregon and when you did, your postage would be hand cancelled with a really sweet heart stamp. This post office stays open mostly because of this service they offer. It was just a fun little touch for our invitations! The turnaround was amazing fast. Our box was mailed on Tuesday and some received their envelopes on Saturday! Here's what we did, after a quick call to Geri, the Postmaster there...

Our Wedding Party...and who doesn't love a great party???

My maid of honor is my cousin, Tess, and my bridesmaids are my good friends, Jessica and Christina.
I've had so many great (and crazy!!!) times with all three of them. I'm so glad they're going to share in this special time with me. Thanks, girls!

Our Ring Bearer and Flower Girl are my nephew and niece,
 Jordan and Brightyn.

More to come...don't worry, Ben is NOT going to be standing alone!

She said YES!

December 2008

It was Christmas morning and Ben was coming from his hometown to spend the day with my family. He got to our house with his arms full of presents. We first opened presents from family, and then we began opening gifts we had gotten for each other. Ben opened his watch from me and then it was my turn. All eyes were on me as I opened the present from Ben! As I unwrap and open the box, I see a gorgeous gold Coach wristlet. I absolutely loved it, he did great picking it out! So as any girl would,  I unzipped it to take a look inside...and there is something else wrapped up in it! As I start to unwrap it, he takes it from me, finishes upwrapping a beautiful diamond ring, gets down on his knee and asks "Will you marry me?" I start of cry, but still manage to say YES!!

We went to my cousin's wedding

Ben was full of surprises...he flew to the wedding without even telling me and then surprised me with the most beautiful diamond heart necklace!

How We Met

March 2008
We met our freshman year while I was working at the on-campus OSU gym.
Ben was checking out racquetball equipment and happened to be wearing a tee from one of my sorority events. I asked him about it, telling him I belonged to that sorority, too.
We introduced ourselves and talked a little bit more.
When I got home I looked for him on Facebook (ahh, technology!) We messaged back and forth and he asked me for my number.  After getting to know each other a bit more, he asked me on a date...to go flying! (Of course I didn't mention a word of it to my family, for obvious reasons.) So during Spring Break '08 he charmed me with being a pilot and took me flying.  It was great, although we don't really talk about the 'tricks' he did that scared me! And the rest is history...
